The Gospel:

the message of God for all mankind via Jesus the Messiah.

In the Greek language the Gospel is called the “Evangelion” which means “the Good News.” The Gospel is not only the name of a book; it is the message of truth, guidance, and salvation that God sent to mankind in the person of Jesus the Messiah. Our Lord Jesus said the words he spoke were not from himself but were inspiration from God, and that the miracles he did were acts of God. (John 5:36; 8:47; 10:37; 14:10, 24).

God Most High inspired four men with his Holy Spirit to record the teachings and acts of our Lord Jesus in the Greek language. Each book is an announcement of the good news of the one Gospel. In the past, people talked about the Gospel in the singular, but modern Christians often call each of the four accounts a Gospel.

The Injil Sharif is an Arabic translation of the Greek text of the Gospel. It speaks of the Gospel in the singular, and uses the term Bishara “Good News” for each of the accounts of the Gospel. The good news is that God Most High offers all people forgiveness for their sins, and a spiritual rebirth from God's Holy Spirit, and eternal life in his glorious kingdom (Paradise). Those who repent of their sinful life and put their faith in Jesus the Messiah, regarding him as their Lord and Savior, will obtain these blessings.
